7 Layer Chevrons Variations on a Theme

This was the first of our rotating educational exhibits on antique trade beads from the West African Trade. This exhibit is dedicated to the 7-layer chevron, and we are grateful for the participation of Albert and Ella Summerfield. Layer sequence is described from the innermost layer to the outermost layer. All star patterns have 12 points, unless otherwise noted. The exhibit subjects will change every few months. Other topics will include Bodom beads, other chevrons, millefiories, Bohemian beads etc. Comments and participation are welcome. Enjoy! Please note that these beads are not for sale.
